Black Marble

Marble

  • Hard to scratch and chip

  • Natural stone

  • Lots of variety

  • Less expensive

  • Low maintenance. Darker slabs may not need to be sealed at all

  • Considered "outdated"

  • Doesn't offer a lot of lighter shade options

  • Lots of color and pattern variety in a single slab.Samples are not always reflective of the end  product

IMG_2340.jpg

Quartz

Pros:

  • Doesn't need to be sealed

  • Lots of color options

  • Consistant color/pattern

  • Less expensive

Cons:

  • ROI slightly less

  • Not a natural stone

  • Man-made of stone and resin

  • Less heat resistant than others

  • Can fade in direct sunlight

IMG_2339.jpg

Quartzite

Background

After getting a bachelor's degree in Social Work followed by over 11 years in advertising sales, I realized that my true passion is Interior Design and Decorating. I have spent the last 20 years reading, researching and practicing interior design and decorating.
I recognized early on that there is major gap in this industry.  While most designers seek out clients with budgets of $100,000+, I've found the majority of clients have budgets far less than that.   They just want to give their home a little updating - make it more functional  and more stylish. Unfortunately, most people don't know where to begin and the multitude of options that exist are overwhelming. This is where I come in. Through my knowledge of interior design, I can simplify this process and help you achieve the look you seek without spending an exorbitant amount of money.
